  • This isn’t just my body… it’s my story

Every woman in the gym is living and writing a story we know nothing about. Maybe it’s about strength, maybe it’s healing, or maybe it’s just finding a little peace from the chaos of having kids, work or running a home.

Today, I looked at my reflection (in all my Aladdin pants glory 😉)… I created this. My perfectly imperfect strong ass little body. Here in my gym.

We don’t know every woman’s story, but we all share one plot: becoming a better version of ourselves. So, be kind. Each woman you meet in the gym has their own unseen battles, they are writing their own story, and kindness helps create a space where everyone feels they belong.

Be someone’s plot twist, be someone’s hero, be the character no one forgets. That includes in your own wee life too x

  • Just a mum who trains….

I’m Dani. Most days, I am just a mum, running on caffeine and the chaos that is two kids and a full time job. Between, work, batch cooking, ironing (only what could not be shook out), helping my kids with homework I had to google first and hiding the good snacks so that I don’t have to share, I like to train.

Training for me does not come with any fancy routines or endless free time (god I wish it did). It happens between school runs, meetings and kids play dates. It happens in the small pockets of the day I can claim for myself.

I am not chasing perfection, I am simply chasing strength (and sanity). Some days I feel unstoppable, but most days I am in fact just a hot mess running on coffee and stubbornness. BUT behind every single session, every small win, I remind myself I am still me, underneath that title of “mummy”.

This blog isn’t about being the fittest woman there ever was (can you imagine though?!) It is just about showing up, proving to myself I can and the most important thing of all, setting an example for the little eyes that watch me. I am just a mum who trains, and that is enough….
